Bloom's Taxonomy

It refers to a classification of the different objectives that educators set for students.
This taxonomy of learning behaviors can be thought of as “the goals of the learning process.” That  at the end of the lesson, the learner should acquired new skills, knowledge, and attitudes.

There are three types of learning domain, first, cognitive domain its involves knowledge and the intellectual skill. Under the cognitive there are six categories which are the knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation  The categories can be thought of as degrees of difficulties. That is, the first ones must normally be mastered before the next ones can take place. Second, affective domain includes the manner in which we deal with things emotionally, such as feelings, values, appreciation, enthusiasms, motivations, and attitudes.  Under the affective  there are five categories which are receiving, responding, valuing, organization and characterization. The third one, psychomotor domain  includes physical movement, coordination, and use of the motor-skill areas. Development of these skills requires practice and is measured in terms of speed, precision, distance, procedures, or techniques in execution. There are six categories under the psychomotor domain which are perceptual abilties, reflex movement, fundamental movement, physical abilities, skilled movements and no discursive communications.
